BizAsia: BBC Asian Network’s annual cost remains at £7 million for fifth year

The BBC Asian Network spend for 2024-2025 remained at £7 million for the fifth year in a row.

In the BBC Annual Report published today, the BBC Asian Network spend remained the same as 2023/2024.

While the BBC Asian Network’s spend was amongst the least from the whole group of radio stations, its ‘cost per user hour’ was among the highest out of all BBC radio brands. It cost 5p to deliver the service for each hour used. BBC Asian Network’s cost was on par with BBC Radio 3 and BBC 1Xtra, all equating to 5p.
