Disney+ has joined the list of popular streaming sites that have increased their prices for UK viewers, with fans of Marvel, Star Wars, and Pixar now having to shell out an extra £36 a year to access its content. However, we've discovered a clever way to save thanks to Virgin Media. Many may not be aware that those who choose Virgin Media Stream can get Disney+ at a significantly reduced price. If you're not already a customer, this handy loophole might just persuade you to upgrade your TV plan.Plus, if you subscribe to the streaming service through Stream, you'll receive some of your money back.Stream is Virgin's all-in-one box set, complete with apps, subscriptions, and channels (think along the lines of Sky Stream). If you subscribe to Disney+ via Stream, you'll receive a 10% credit back into your account.Essentially, this means Virgin will pay you for signing up to Disney's streaming platform, reports the Mirror. While this doesn't lower the actual cost of your Disney+ subscription, it does save you money in the long run. The only catch is that you must select one of the two larger tariffs, either the Standard £7.99 plan or the Premium plan for £10.99 a month. If you're an existing Virgin Media broadband or TV customer, you can take advantage of a free hack to maximise your benefits. All you need to do is set up Stream with your account - there's no monthly fee, just a one-off £35 activation charge. For those who aren't customers, you can also sign up if you purchase one of Virgin Media's plans. It's free on all TV and broadband plans, but our recommendation would be the £27 per month broadband package, after comparing it with competitor rates.Keen shoppers can check out Virgin's latest deal on their website. However, if signing up for a broadband or TV contract isn't on your agenda but you're still interested in reducing the cost of Disney+, there's another option. Opt for Disney's annual plan if you want to bypass purchasing another product to get a cheaper price. This means you'll get a full year for the price of 10 months, as bundling the price into a one-off payment reduces the cost. You'll save using this tip on either the Standard or Premium plans, but unfortunately not on the Standard with Ads.The premium package costs £10.99 a month, which includes ultra high definition and HDR, but if you pay upfront for the annual plan, you'll save £21.98.This is because the monthly rate totals £131.88, while the outright price is £109.90. The same can be done on the £79.90 a year Standard plan instead of paying £7.99 a month.
