Virgin Media has rebranded its Steam product as well as bringing in a new £5 monthly free for new subscribers.Virgin Media Stream was first introduced in April 2022, shortly after Sky brought in Sky Stream, its standalone alternative to the Sky Glass display. It was initially conceived as a product for light TV viewers but has grown in significance. While the product will now be known as Flex, the device itself will continue to identify as the Stream set-top box.The basic service is now priced at a monthly £5, alongside a £10 activation fee, to which customers can then add individual content subscriptions. Existing subscribers are unaffected by the change.By purchasing their subscriptions through Virgin, rather than individual streaming services, customers can save 10% across their total bill. All of the subscriptions are available on 30 day individual contracts. The number of available channels has gradually been increased and now includes 150 Freeview and other channels.
