Netflix has seen the profits for its UK subsidiary grow by £22 million in 2023, according to a Companies House return.Subsidiary Netflix Services UK increased its operating profit by 70% to £53.7 million. The company posted record UK revenues of £1.7 billion, an increase of 8%. At the same time the amount of tax paid by the streamer to HMRC has doubled to £14.2 million.The majority of revenue comes from its streaming services.The company reported a 7% growth in subscribers, with the average number of paid subscriptions, and the amount paid per moth both increasing. Netflix did not report how many UK subscribers it holds, but audience researcher Barb put Netflix in 17.1 million homes in Q2.The UK has supplied Netflix with a number of UK originated hits, including Fool Me Once, Baby Reindeer, The Gentlemen, Heartstopper and Bridgerton.
