Sky Sports have confirmed three additions to their Super League commentary team ahead of the 2024 season. The broadcaster is set for its biggest-ever year covering the sport, showing every game live with a new streaming platform called 'Super League+' launching later this month. That will allow fans the opportunity to watch Super League without needing to purchase a Sky Sports subscription, with the broadcaster bringing new commentators to their coverage, which kicks off next month with a blockbuster Hull derby clash between Hull FC and Hull KR. It sees four-time Super League winner Kyle Amor join the team, alongside well-known commentators Dave Woods and Mark Wilson.Wilson and Amor were part of Channel 4's coverage over the last two years and received many positive reviews. They have also covered the women's and wheelchair games while previously working for Sky Sports. Woods, meanwhile, has been a long-standing voice on the BBC's rugby league coverage, which includes Challenge Cup ties, internationals, and, for the first time this year, Super League matches. In total, Sky Sports will show around 170 rugby league games this year across their channels and platforms. That will include Magic Weekend fixtures, play-offs, and all three Grand Finals: men's, women's, and wheelchair. As a result, video referees will now feature in all Super League matches.Helen Falkus, Sky Sports Director of Multi Sports, said: "This season represents a really exciting opportunity for both us and the League with the new rights deal, so it's fantastic to be welcoming three new faces in Kyle, Dave and Mark."They will each bring quality, experience, and an understanding of what the Rugby League community wants to know. We have every confidence that they will take our coverage to new levels as we bring fans every fixture across Sky platforms."
