Whyte will join the BBC on 30 October 2023 from Anaplan. He will be based in the BBC’s new North-East tech hub in Newcastle.Reporting to Storm Fagan, the BBC’s Chief Product Officer – Whyte will be responsible for building, leading and the BBC’s product engineering and data to develop the organisation’s digital products.Storm Fagan, BBC Chief Product Officer says: “I’m delighted to welcome Jack to the BBC. Prior to this, at eBay, Jack led the European R&D group – which comprised engineering, product, design and content teams, supporting the European eBay sites.
