Former BFBS chief executive Simon Bucks has been appointed to Ofcom’s Content Board on a three-year term.
The Board holds advisory responsibility for a wide range of content issues, including the regulation of television, radio and video-on-demand quality and standards.It is made up of experts from a range of commercial, media, telecoms and broadcasting backgrounds.Maggie Carver, Chair, Content Board said: “I’d like to welcome Simon to the Content Board where I know that his long and senior experience in news and current affairs editorial roles will be especially useful. I’d also like to thank Jonathan Baker, whom Simon replaces, for his six years of excellent service.”Bucks has wide experience as a journalist and editorial executive. In addition to BFBS he has held roles at Sky News, London News Network and ITN.
