Poppy Dixon, Sky’s head of factual programming since 2020, has stepped down from her role, according to Broadcast.During her tenure, she oversaw Sky Docs, Sky Nature, Sky Crime, and Sky History, commissioning award-winning and high-profile documentaries such as Libby, Are You Home Yet?, Lockerbie, Otto Baxter: Not a F**king Horror Story, and Boyzone: No Matter What. She also launched initiatives supporting short films and diverse-led production companies.Sky will not directly replace her role but plans to appoint a new head of documentaries reporting to unscripted executive director Phil Edgar-Jones. Dixon said she was proud of building the Sky Documentaries brand and its mix of popular and critically acclaimed programming, and looks forward to her next career step.
