Sky TV customers who receive Paramount+ as part of their Sky Cinema subscription are to be moved to the new Paramount+ Basic (with ads) plan from 21 January 2025.In recent months, Sky has built value around its £10 per month premium movie channel package, adding two free tickets a month to the Vue cinema chain, and since launch Paramount+.In much the same way that Sky subscribers underpinned the launch of the streaming service, known for Yellowstone, Star Trek and The Agency, they’re now helping to add to the cost-per-thousand of the new with ads plan.Paramount has followed Netflix, Amazon Prime and Disney+ in bringing in an advertising tier.Sky says it’s not yet possible to upgrade to Paramount’s other tiers.Outside of the Sky offer, Paramount subscribers can pay £4.99 for the HD quality Basic with Ads plan. Paramount+’s new Standard Plan is £6.99 per month, while the Premium Plan that includes 4K UHD, Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos on selected titles is priced at a monthly £10.99.
