Story from Digital TV Europe:

Sky Sports has announced a renewed rights deal to broadcast the NBA.

The broadcaster’s coverage will include a UK primetime evening match-up every Saturday and Sunday as part of a wider deal that will include 135 Regular Season games, the 2023 NBA All-Star Weekend in Salt Lake City (February 17-19), NBA 360 multiplex, the NBA Play-In Tournament, the best matchups from Rounds 1 and 2 of the NBA Playoffs and every game of the Conference Finals and NBA Finals.

The Sunday evening primetime game will be streamed for free on Sky Sports YouTube Channel as it was last season, alongside coverage on Sky Sports Arena.

Sky Sports will also broadcast the new NBA on Fire weekly magazine show, along with NBA Action, and a weekly show presented by Mo Mooncey on Snapchat called The Paint.

Elsewhere in US sports, the NFL’s New York Jets have agreed a new partnership which will see Sky Sports air dedicated team programming throughout the 2022 season.

Announcing the deal, Hymie Elhai, president of the New York Jets, said: “The UK has become the second home of the New York Jets. This partnership allows us to provide our UK fans with Jets content throughout the season and assist with the growth of our brand and this game internationally.”
