Broadband TV News: New structure at TVN Warner Bros. Discovery

Poland’s TVN Warner Bros. Discovery has announced changes to the structure of its programming division.

According to the company, they result from a change in the approach to the organisation of content production and a new philosophy of managing programmes and channels in the group.

In the new structure, Bogdan Czaja, until now the deputy programme director of TVN, will become group VP programming & operations. In his new position, he will be responsible for programming strategy and channel operations for the entire TVN Warner Bros. Discovery portfolio, excluding news.

This will ensure a holistic and integrated approach to content creation and planning within the group and its effective use across all channels.

Meanwhile, Jaroslaw Potasz, the current TVN production department director, will take the position of group VP studios & productions. He will be responsible for the overall supervision of the production of all forms of television, except for news programmes, both for the local market and abroad. This will cover productions carried out in Warsaw and in regional centres. In his role, Potasz will also supervise the production development department, including the use of modern technologies for the production of television programmes.

The newly created position of TVN channel director will be taken by Lidia Kazen, the current programming Director of TTV and Player. Both the TTV and Player channels were appreciated by viewers and critics for their alternative and bold approach to scheduling. Due to the change in the structure, the position of TTV Director will be taken over by Joanna Soldra, Kazen’s current deputy Kazen. On the other hand, Maciej Gozdowski, the MD of the website, will be responsible for the entirety of Player’s activities. The other channel managers will remain in their positions.

Both Bogdan Czaja and Jaroslaw Potasz will report directly to Kasia Kieli.
