Advanced Television: ITV Quiz channel goes live

ITV has announced the launch of its new quiz channel – ITV Quiz – a dedicated destination bringing viewers non-stop brain-teasing entertainment from 9am to 1am every day.

At launch, ITV Quiz offers a slate of celebrated programmes and formats such as Tipping Point, Wheel of Fortune, Tenable, Deal or No Deal, Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? and Lingo.

The channel is available now on Freeview channel 28, Freely channel 22, YouView channel 28, Freesat channel 119, Sky Q channel 131, Sky Glass channel 125, Virgin TV channel 119 and streaming via ITVX.

“Whether it’s trivia games, picture games, parlour games, general knowledge or simply luck and chance, ITV Quiz has something for everyone from the devoted trivia buff to the casual quizzer,” said a statement from ITV, which also noted: “In the last year, 43 million viewers have watched a quiz show on ITV channels – which is 69 per cent of the population. Quiz shows have [also] amassed a colossal 185 million streams on ITVX in the last year.”

ITV Quiz replaces the retired ITVBe reality channel.
