Advanced Television: Serie A, Ligue 1 go DTC in UK

Story from Advanced Television:

OneFootball and Lega Serie A have announced a partnership to deliver coverage of Italy’s top flight football league to fans in the UK and Ireland for the 2024/2025 season. Through the newly launched Home of Serie A, the direct-to-consumer streaming service from Lega Serie A will provide live access to all 380 Serie A matches.

By integrating Home of Serie A channel into its offerings, OneFootball continues to expand its portfolio of OTT partnerships, which already includes streaming services from Sky Deutschland, DAZN, MagentaSport and Deutsche Fußball-Bund (DFB).

Each Serie A livestream will be complemented by short-form video content, including in-match and post-match highlights and other shoulder programming.

Fans can purchase and stream single matches on a pay-per-view basis for £4.99 per match or choose a Team Pass for £79.99 or a Season Pass for £99.99 granting access to all the 2024/2025 season matches. Flexible streaming options are available on the OneFootball platform, which includes mobile, desktop, and connected TV applications. Within the Home of Serie A all matches will be made available throughout the season: Eight games per match round will be accessible exclusively on OneFootball platform, and the remaining two will be co-exclusive (with TNT Sports).

Meanwhile, LFP Media will broadcast every Ligue 1 McDonald’s match to fans in the UK and the Republic of Ireland via its Ligue 1 Pass streaming platform. The service costs £9.99 per month.

The Ligue 1 Pass will include Ligue 1 McDonald’s matches as well as a wide variety of original content produced specifically for the platform, plus several innovative functionalities that will be rolled out throughout the season.

In order to develop the Ligue 1 Pass, LFP Media received support from a Endeavor Streaming, a subsidiary of the Endeavor group. A web version of the Ligue 1 Pass is available now, while an app version will become available across all platforms from Round 3 of the league season onwards.
