Oct 26th: Just a heads up. I've been informed that a couple of information slates are being prepared. They have service names of "Important Information" and are configured to use channel numbers 100 and 106. No other information is available but this seems to mean that E4 will be moving away from 106.Oct 26th: A bit more info. My source was aware of the EIT data about a service no longer being available. It could also be pertinent that the original "Channel Moved" config has been moved out of the way for this announcement and the EPG genre being used is "Information". They didn't want to encourage too much speculation as, not only is an actual slate missing, but the config is incomplete. They expect that both of the services be directed to the same slate of, if more complicated, information video but those details aren't yet added. At the moment the EPG flags are in a slightly unexpected combination but nothing unusual. The subscription packs added are everything above "Player" but not actually including the Player pack. The Entertainment tier is also included in the config, The subscription pack codes don't give any clues about which service will be closing. Maybe they will change but they haven't been copied over from the old "channel moved" config. so it doesn't seem to be an error.Oct. 29th: The pre-launch EPG slots have changed, or at least one of them. Channel 100 is still in the configuration, with channel 106 being changed to 114. So a movement from the existing E4 slot to the existing ITV +1 slot. Confused yet? There seems to be no logic to this.Nov. 1st: The "Important Information" slates have been added and added to the NIT data of all networks. They would now, normally, be viewable on digitalbitrate.com but the Virgin Media updates are offline (again). The slate carries the same information as the EPG data referred to earlier "This Virgin Media service will no longer be supported and will be closing on 30th November 2021" together with a link to upgrade to a free V6 box. It is thought that the use of flags in the EPG will ensure that the slate can only be seen on relevant boxes. Presumably legacy boxes which have already been restricted to only have PSB channels visible on the EPG.
