Jamie Carragher suggested he and Gary Neville will grace Sky Sports' Premier League coverage for some years to come after the broadcaster's new rights deal was secured.Sky has bought the rights to air 215 matches per season between 2025 and 2029 as the Premier League agreed a deal with them and TNT Sports worth £6.7billion.In the wake of the news, Carragher shared a Dumb and Dumber poster on Instagram with him and Gary Neville as the star characters.'Four more years of me and @GNeville2,' he wrote on his Instagram story. 5-Carragher and Neville first debuted as a duo on Monday Night Football in 2013 and have become a fan favourite ever since with their mix of insight and humour.Neville had already been a fixture on the show for some time, having made a nervous first outing on the show in 2011, when he interviewed Roberto Mancini. The Premier League are thrilled with the new deal having secured a four per cent increase in the value of their live rights, which no other European competition has achieved, despite limited competition.Sky's mammoth new package will see them pick up 215 matches per season in comparison to TNT Sports' 52.Matches that kick off at 3pm on Saturdays will remain under the blackout and the BBC will continue to show highlights through Match of the Day for at least another four years.TNT have held on to the Saturday lunchtime slot and every single match outside the 3pm Saturday slot will be shown on TV.Amazon have lost their Premier League matches after six years of providing live coverage and there was only a modest bid from ambitious streaming platform DAZN, and none at all from Apple TV.'The outcome of this process underlines the strength of the Premier League,' said chief executive Richard Masters. 'It is testament to our clubs, players and managers who continue to deliver the world's most competitive football in full stadiums, and to supporters, who create an unrivalled atmosphere every week.'Sky Sports and TNT Sports are renowned for consistently delivering world-class coverage and programming. We have enjoyed record audiences and attendances in recent seasons, and we know that their continued innovation will drive more people to watch and follow the Premier League.'The Premier League have managed to achieve the rise by selling TV rights for an extra year and significantly increasing the number of live games available from 200 to 270 each season.Sky have snapped up all of the extra games, as well as buying the 20 matches that are currently shown by Amazon, so will be showing 80 per cent of the live Premier League matches from 2025.They have also secured 32 first picks so will be guaranteed the biggest games of the season, and are paying significantly less per-game than under the terms of the existing deal.
