EXCLUSIVE: PictureBox freeview next month on Virgin TV

I have today been told that Virgin Media customers will get PictureBox absolutely free on Virgin Media on Demand from August 1st to September 1st.

On September 1st PictureBox will go back to being £5 per month extra.

More info on the Olympics on the BBC

I have just found new info on what the BBC plans to do over the Olympics (July 27th to August 12th):

  • The 48 Olympics channels (24 each in HD and SD) will start at 9am on Virgin Channels 550 to 597.
  • BBC Three will broadcast Olympic things from 9am to 11pm everyday.

Eurosport 2 HD may launch on Virgin Media this September?

Teletext Holidays relaunches on Virgin Media

Virgin Media has relaunch Teletext Holidays via an app on TiVo.

Sky Sports F1 goes Red for all Virgin Viewers

Months after the launch of Sky Sports F1. Virgin Media has today launch the Sky Sports F1 Red Button on every viewers boxes.

Since March Sky Sports F1 Red Button has only been on TiVo boxes.

Eurosport HD, the pan-European high definition service, has been available in the UK and Ireland since July 2008. The international feed available through that channel has enabled sports fans to follow high profile events like the Tour de France, the French Open from Roland Garros and this summer’s Olympic Games in native HD.

Virgin Media to put heat TV on the L package from launch

Virgin Media has confirm that heat TV will be on both the L and XL Packages from launch tomorrow on Virgin Channel 338.
