Marketing Week: Discovery Turbo to launch on Virgin Media from March 1st

Discovery Networks Europe is launching a new motoring entertainment channel aimed at adult men. Discovery Turbo will launch in the UK on Virgin Media on March 1.
The channel will target 18- to 54-year-old men and will "celebrate" all aspects of speed. Programmes will include Firepower, a series that looks at fighting machines such as warships and combat jets, and Head On, about American demolition derbies.

We already know that 'Discovery Wings' Ofcom licence was recently renamed to 'Discovery Turbo'. Which means that Wings is being rebranded.....

It looks like the rebrand will happen on Thursday 1st March. listings show car/bike/planes programming on Discovery Wings from 11am on this date. It also looks like the channel will go 24 hours from this day (Wings is currently only 6pm - 6am).

Perhaps Discovery Kids will also extend its hours if the channels are no longer timesharing.
